I don’t make videos — I make films.
Hi, I’m Alec.
I was born and raised in Brandon, Manitoba, and attended Vancouver Film School where I specialized in cinematography and directing. Now living in Winnipeg, I’ve worked on professional film sets, and have even directed two feature films of my own. I believe that the greatest movies of all time feature a great love story, and I’m committed to capturing yours next.
While other videographers approach weddings like a documentarian or a marketer, I approach them like a filmmaker—developing a unique narrative and visual style for each one. I capture both traditional and non-traditional weddings, and can work in large open venues as well as small intimate settings. I’m also an ally of the queer community, and appreciate the opportunity to capture any and all love stories.
I like good music, good movies, and bad reality TV, and when I’m not working, you can find me golfing, boxing, or spending time at my cabin in Clear Lake.
